She does have another wig on order but I think she looks cute with her wig straightened... did find out that her hair was cut though.

Changes Are Afoot!

My dollie landscape has undergone a drastic change these past couple of months and I think I've finally found my way in this crazy thing called doll collecting. LOL This last year and a half I've collected as well as rehomed quite a few different types of dollies in my pursuit to find out which dolls I prefer. I can wholeheartedly, without a shadow of a doubt say I find the most joy in 18" American Girl Dolls and 6" American Girl Mini Dolls. They can stand without support which makes them quite easy to photograph, once you can get their eyes in the right direction. LOL These girls put a smile on my face every time I play with them. :)

Also I found I prefer tiny BJDs (11cm-16cm) as opposed to 28cm and above since they are much more compact and travel friendly. Yes, that means my BJD family significantly decreased down to 2 girls... Penelope (Pukipuki Cupid) and Rainbow (Pukifee Pong Pong). I'm still plan on getting one more tiny BJD... a Lati Yellow Lea. I probably won't be able to get here until the beginning of next year but I'll start saving for her.

I enjoy photographing my Blythe, Dal, Pullip and Monster High Dolls. These dolls are very travel friendly and compact. I don't have to worry about them getting too much sun (like my BJDs) or getting wet (like my AGs). Well except for Blythe, Dal & Pullips can't water in their eye/head openings but it's not like if their bodies get wet they'll be ruined.Even if water does get into the head, I could always repair it easier than AGs or BJDs.

All in all, I've rehomed all the dolls I felt didn't fit into my collection and am happy with the ones that are currently here. So I'm not going on a dollie diet but fast. Seriously, I don't plan on getting any new dolls for quite a while with the exception of Cecile (18" & 6") who were already planned and purchased before I said I was going on a dollie fast. But I'll state right now, if I can find a Lati Yellow Lea within my budget, she will be coming home. 8D Otherwise, no new dollies for me.

**A little sidenote** I won the eBay auction for the AG Mini Ruthie Doll and have already received shipping notification for her! So excited about these little ladies. It's crazy how I've gone from none to 4 to now 6, plus watching quite a few more! Will my AG Mini Doll madness ever end? Probably not till I have all of them or pretty close to all of them. :P

Film Photography Update

My Holga 120s arrived a week or two ago but I haven't gotten around to using it yet. Firstly, I don't have any film. I know how am I supoose to shoot film photos without film? And secondly, I've been trying to figure out which 120 film to get. 8D Also upon further inspection of the camera, the indention on the red number screen which was mentioned in the product description does interfer with changing from 12 to 16 shoots. At least the camera is suck taking 6cm x 6cm photos which shooting square format/photos is my real purpose anyway, so no 6cm x 4.5cm photos for me. I do have the masks for both and maybe if I find a spare back, I'll be able to choose between the 2 but I'm not going to worry too much about it since 6cm x 6cm is what I'm after. I do plan on painting my Holga another color though. Sorry but the black is soo drab and boring. I'm thinking about painting it my favorite colors, pink and teal with a splash of white, just need to go to my local Michael's and pick up the paints. :D

A little dollie sidenote, AG Mini Josefina has been shipped plus for my custom TLC Kit arrived the other day AND I'm currently bidding on another AG mini. Ummm... yea, I think that's all for now. :P

American Girl Minis Update

My collection of mini AGs is growing by leaps and bounds. I went from no mini AGs a little over a month ago to now having 4 (Julie, Kit, Rebecca and Saige)!



Plus I won a Josefina on eBay and I'm thinking about ordering Cécile from Barnes and Noble with the 15% coupon I got in my email. I think I'll just get them all. 8D I couldn't/can't just stop at 1 or 2. LOL They are so portable, it makes them easier to take along and photograph. See why I didn't want to get caught collecting these lovely ladies? Oh well, they're lots of fun! :)

Change in My Custom Dollie Plans!

Due to the unfortunate scam from the unscrupulous eBay seller, my custom dollie plans have changed a bit. I had planned on making 2 custom AG dolls which I thought AG Elizabeth was the perfect base BUT I've decided I'll use AG Rebecca instead. I've already said I would LOVE to add her to my collection, plus I've seen what my custom doll would look like, thanks to Photoshop, and I know she will be perfect!! :)

Now the other custom is going to be an American Boy Doll! :D I felt it was time to introduce a little bit of chaos to our group of girls and add a BOY to the mix. :) I've seen some really awesome custom American Boy Dolls that I've decided one of my girls needs a brother. :) I've been taking notes on the custom boys on AGPT and hope to create a little brother for Renee. I already have the base doll picked out and I'm currently working on choosing the right wig and wardrobe for him. His name has already been picked! :)

So excited to get these custom dolls started BUT patience will be a virtue and I'll be at the mercy of available funds. :P
