Need to Set A Budget

Seriously! I REALLY do because I will spend my whole paycheck on this hobby and I'm not completely sure my hubby would appreciate that too much even though he is VERY supportive. LOL

Case and point. Like two weeks ago, I purchased a loose LPS Blythe doll, Flowers 'n Fashion, from an eBay seller for a whopping $5 shipped. Yes $5 shipped. Little Miss Madison is the star of this week's 52 weeks of Blythe photo. Totally changed my art direction for the week. LOL

Little Miss Madison

So the other day while browsing for Petite Blythes, I came across a Petite Cinnamon Girl Blythe and the price including shipping was 1/5 of the 12" girl. I want the 12" Cinnamon Girl Blythe but I can't really afford to purchase her right now... The cheapest I've found was close to $200 and my hubby would DEFINITELY go into sticker shock if he knew how much I've been paying for my dolls. For those who buy these dolls regularly know that isn't a lot, it's pretty a normal price. But for those who don't know anything, they will gawk at me spending that on a 12" doll. So yea, the Cinnamon Girl petite blythe will soon join my other girls because I couldn't resist.

Oh I also rescued another Littlest Pet Shop Blythe, Playfully Plaid, off eBay as well. I didn't get the little pony though which I'm fine with but she will come with all of her other goodies including her box and stand.

Not that it goes without mentioning that my Little Pullip Cheshire won't be the only one anymore because look who will be joining the family.

Yep, it's Little Pullip Blue Alice. Now I feel like I need to get the rest of the Alice In Wonderland Pullips to have a complete set. LOL

Doesn't it appear that I am building a petite dolly brigade? Oh I need more space for my growing dolly fam. :-)

2/52- Little Pullip Cheshire (ADAW)

She is my One and Only Pullip (changing soon). She's a Little Pullip to boot. LOL So I thought I'd use her as my ADAW photo. She had a run in with my 5 year old, hence the scratch on her cheek and the messed up hair. LOL Oh she has a broken leg too. Thank goodness for the cat suit. She maybe obitsu'ed (real word?) soon.

Too Cute to Say No

Yesterday I gave my oldest daughter my rescue LPS Blythe dolls I purchased off eBay because I thought that I didn't want to collect them BUT I was wrong... TOTALLY WRONG. LOL

I now see that I can't resist their cuteness and will be picking up a few after work on Monday. I will also get a couple of loose ones off eBay. I found a seller who sales fully clothed, loose dolls for $5 including shipping. Yea they're coming from overseas BUT I've already ordered one to see how long it would take and it only took 9 days from payment to my door. Not bad, right?

Blythe you have turned into an addiction. LOL

Here are all my lovely little girls together. Yes I was playing in post photo processing again. I actually like the photo of the girls that I've decided to use it as my header. I'm sure it'll change as my photography gets better but at least now my blog has an awesome header. :-)

Guess she wanted to make sure her new dress looks good.

Next Week's Photo Shoot Inspiration

Already thinking about next week's photo shoot. LOL Inspiration came at the weirdest time.. Today, while nursing my youngest I just happened to see a couch/jewelry box my oldest daughter received from my mom as a "just because" present. I figured I will use that piece to build the shoot around. Not sure which girl will be the subject of the shoot just yet. I have to see which one looks better. Right now Serene is the front runner for the shoot. So we'll see who the lucky girl is!

1/52 - In A Sea Of Dots

Here is my attempt at 52 Weeks of Blythe and A Doll A Week (a.k.a. ADAW) on Flickr. I know we are almost into March but hey it's better late than never, right? LOL

I want to improve upon my photography and art direction skills. I mean that is basically what I am doing. I am designing the photo shoots and everything. This should be a fun task. There is also A Doll A Day but I wasn't up for that challenge just yet. LOL

Newest Frankenpolish Shades

Here are some colors I came up with today while the kids were at school. I really like the #2 and #3 from the left. Time to order more bottles. LOL

Hello Kitty x Tokidoki Set

My Hello Kitty Mini Tote & coin pouch/wallet, of course. I have wanted this purse and coin pouch for a minute and after work yesterday I finally gave in to temptation and purchased them. LOL

The Girls Together

Here are my 4 little girls... Zoë, Serene, Maya and Ginger. Look at Ginger waving at the camera! My poor girls only have the clothes on their backs and NO shoes!!! That will most definitely have to change. I know how to use a sewing machine quite proficiently, so there isn't any excuse for them to only have 1 dress a piece. I can already see how this hobby has/will become a fast moving addiction. LOL I already have another rescue scheduled to arrive sometime next week and looking at purchasing more. My poor paycheck! I see now that I will have to curb my spending or my DH will have to sell me. Just kidding since this is my hobby and he's fully supportive. I mean I purchase my own stuff anyways. LOL

So excited about my new Dolly Mail! Yes I opened it, couldn't resist. BUT can't take proper pics because I'm in the car on my way to Knotted's Berry Farm with Hubby & kids. The contents will be revealed later....

Mini FrankenPolish Experiment

My oldest daughter & I have a nail polish addiction... I admit it. LOL So I wanted to show her the process of making the colors she likes. What started as a little experiment has turned into a full blown addiction. Here are a few colors I came up with. More to come.... I'm sure. :-)

Talk about quick, Zoë's new wig arrived today from Alaska. Only took like 4 days. She feels like a new little girl, now that she has a full head of hair. :-)

Zoë Meets Ginger

My new girl (Friendly Freckles a.k.a. FrFr) arrived the other day but today was the first day that I've been off  work to actually take a picture of her and Zoë together. Played around with the curves a bit to achieve this photo. I love the background! Gotta love Michael's.

On the left is Zoë (PD2A) and right is Ginger (FrFr)

As you can see, Zoë is still hairless BUT she is adorning a new crocheted bear cap made by the lovely Lily of crochets & cream on etsy. I did purchase her a auburn wig off eBay but it probably won't be here until Friday, maybe even Saturday because it's coming from Alaska. Yes, I said Alaska. LOL

Zoë Needs Some Hair!!

Alright as I've already stated, Zoë, is a work in progress. First I was going to re-root her bald scalp BUT it seems like more work than I have time for. So I've decided to make her a wig instead, just not sure if I'm going to use yarn or Tibetan lambskin. I think I will try making one out of yarn thanks to a yarn doll wig tutorial that I found on Flickr. I think I'll pick up some yarn on my way home from work tomorrow.

Hello Dolls!

Sorry couldn't resist. This is my little doll world. I am the proud mama of a PD2A Blythe, Zoë and Cheshire Cat Little Pullip, Serenity. Zoë was my first Big head and wide eyed dolly. She joined my family in 2008. Serenity is a relative newcomer who joined the family in 2011. I had another girl, Pullip Neo Noir but she and I really didn't bond well so she has since been adopted.

I have found while Pullips are absolutely gorgeous, my heart seems to like Blythes better. I think I relate to it's big head on a small body! LOL No seriously, I just think they are cuter to ME. I will admit I do like the Little Pullips though... I don't know. LOL Maybe if the right Pullip came along... Prunella (my grail girl) for instance, my tune would most definitely be different. :-)

I do have a new girl coming next week, Blythe Friendly Freckles. I will take family pics when she arrives. Gives me a chance to get  Zoë some type of head covering. She's missing her dome and hair. She has a scalp but it's bald. :-o She's a work in progress. You'll see.

So until next post, have fun!
