Too much sun, making her look weird BUT this is Autumn (custom GOTY Kailey). :-)

Autumn was an eBay rescue and started life as a TLC Girl of the Year Kailey Hopkins. As you can see her wig was in pretty rough shape but that was nothing compared to the condition of her torso and limbs. I cleaned her up and re-wigged her with a straightened #26 wig and Autumn was born. 8D

Okay, so I'm 3 days late but my photos have been showing the changes of the seasons here in Southern California.

  

I really like this time of the year, it's right before it gets too cold and but still hanging on to a little Summer heat. Just wanted to share a little Fall love!

All About Aoki

You what they say about always wanting to play with the new shiny toy? Well I guess it's true because all I want to do is play with Aoki. She is so photogenic and she looks great in whatever I put her in. Plus her unique hair color, her style being revealed to me and her character starting to take shape. All of it just makes want to play with her even more! Now instead of shopping for Kiele, I'm shopping for Aoki. 

I thought I knew what Kiele's style/character was going to be but I'm not liking my first take, so she's back to the drawing board of sorts. She will appear in photos with Aoki since they are best friends but I need to work on her some more. 

As for Aoki, she's my princess tomboy. 8D She likes to be fashionable but doesn't mind going out playing with the boys and getting dirty. She'll wear pink but will put on black in a minute. Aoki is an all-around fun girl. 

While the other girls will get their respective time in front of the camera, Aoki is my go-to gal. So to make sure my blog isn't solely Aoki, she has started her own blog... ☀ All About Aoki ☀. It's still very new. I mean new as in there is only one post there. She'll post photos and other tidbits there so you can keep up with her adventures.

Just made this video of all my American Girl Dolls. It's nothing fancy. I do plan on doing more slideshow videos of my girls. Like I'll be uploading the ADAD photos for each girl into their own videos. For this video I used YouTube's software but it's kind of limiting, so I'm going to see what other software I can use to make my slideshows mine. :)

New Girl in Town!

So excited for the arrival of my newest girl, Aoki (American Girl Doll #30... I think). Aoki arrived Thursday, Sept. 12, in pretty rough shape but being me I quickly fixed her up and she is even more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Here's how she looked before she got all cleaned up.

It's official, Aoki and Kiele are my absolute favorite AGs and it's taking all my willpower NOT to photograph them only but I will being doing photo-shoots and stories around them, look for those to come in the near future. :-) I still need to feature Willow and Alyssa for ADAD but once their weeks are done, all bets are off... it'll be the Aoki and Kiele show. LOL Isn't it funny how I thought I didn't care for these molds, for them now to be my most favorite molds?! I ♥ Aoki and Kiele!!!

Among the AG Dolls

As you may have noticed, my blog has been taken over by my American Girl Dolls. Yes I collect many different kinds of dolls (Blythe, BJDs, Dals, Monster High, just to name a few) but it appears my preference has greatly shifted to all American Girl Dolls, all the time. LOL I still photograph my other dolls BUT I'm having a lot MORE fun planning my AG doll shoots and sewing projects. I think I'll just take a break from my other dolls for awhile and focus solely on my American Girl Dolls.

As you've seen these last two weeks I've focused my ADAD photos on featuring one of my AGs for the whole week and it was fun looking for new places to do my photo shoots. I plan to focus on one AG doll a week from here on, out. 8D Next to be featured is Renee (fka PM Felicity -rewigged) and she's already dressed in her new Back to School outfit I made her too. I'm working on all the girls Back to School/Fall outfits. It's just a little slow in going but everyone will be getting a new outfit, so I can take "School" photos.

As a sidenote, I received Saige's boots today and they are even cuter in 18" form as they are in mini AG doll form. It looks like my girls will have an extensive shoe collection because there are so many cute shoe options out there for my girls. Plus a girl can never have too many shoes.  LOL

Oh, I'm working on my first giveaway so be on the lookout for details of that coming soon. :-) I have an idea of what I want to do/giveaway but I'm not sure how to go about it. XP

At any rate, welcome to the new "Among the AG Dolls".

ETA:: Hopefully there will be a new girl arriving this week. She's the last doll I'm purchasing this year. No new dolls until 2014. 8D Unless something goes wrong... my luck on the secondhand market has been hit or miss lately.

Krazy for Kiele

It's official... I'm crazy for Kiele!! 8D Don't tell my other girls but Kiele is my very special (fave) AG. ^^; I think it might be all the love I put into her that has forged this love for her. Well I don't know but now I see what others have talked about when they say they have an absolute fave doll. (^_^)  

Anyhow, over this past labor day weekend AGPT was good to me and I picked up a few goodies for Kiele. 

I acquired her a pair of retired AG Heelys, GOTY Saige's Boots and retired GOTY Mia's Meet Sneakers. Plus on eBay, I won retire PWP (Purchase-with-Purchase) 2012 AG Holiday Pink Fair Isle Cardigan Sweater . :-D This should be quite a week of happy mail days for me, I mean Kiele. ^^: Now to build her wardrobe and make her some skinny jeans, leggings and a couple of tops to wear with her new shoes.

Kiele will also be getting her own "room". I've chosen the color scheme and purchased the "wallpaper", now to find fabric to match for her bedding. Her "room" will take some time to get together but I will acquire pieces here and there. See, I told you I'm krazy for Kiele. \(^_^)/
