Look Who's On Her Way Home!

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Look at my beautiful Sunshine. She is all finished and will be on her way to me shortly. Can't wait to reunite her with her twin sister, Rainbow and I also got her a new blonde wig to match... Well sorta! Thanks PlagueBearer for providing me a photo of Sunshine and doing her awesome faceup.

I think I need to make the girl's some new glothing for the change in the weather here. Can you believe that it's actually in the low to mid 50s here in Southern California? I think I'll make the girls some cords and long sleeve tops... not just for Rainbow and Sunshine but for McKenzie too! :)

News... News... News!!!

I've been a really good girl lately... I haven't purchased any new dolls but in the last week. Okay I did finally get my Middie Blythe but I've purchased 2... well purchased 1 and traded for the other. ^^;

Remember when I said that I would purchase another Lati Yellow? Well I wound up finding a good deal on a basic NS Lati Yellow Benny, whom I plan to hometan. Am i afraid something can go wrong? Of ciurse but what's life without a little tisk. LOL She will be traveling from Germany so I'm not sure how fast she will arrive with the current slowing of the postal service due to Christmas mail. Benny has the pouty face I've come to like in Latidolls, so I'm really happy that I was able to scoop her up. I think the reason why I wasn't able to bond with Xmas Elf Coco was because she was smiling and I'm used to seeing Lati dolls pouting. I'm really excited gor her arrival.

Also with the arrival of Rainbow this past week, I have found that I ♥ her LOL face and was happy when I saw an opportunity to get a second one. I was able to trade my MNF Rheia plus other goodies from my trade partner to get her. I'm really excited because my trade partner is getting her dream doll and I'm going to have TWINS!! I got her second hand from here in the US. Hopefully she won't take long to get her BUT she won't be here too long before she's off to get her faceup done to look like her sister by the amazing PlagueBearer (on Flickr). I've never had twin anything before so this is really a new and neat experience for me. I'm already designing them a little roombox to sit on my dresser so I can see their happy faces first thing in the morning.  All my other BJDs stay in their perspective FL boxes but these two I can't do that to them because it's soo dark in those boxes. LOL

So EXCITED!!!!

Ready to Make My Next Custom!!

After creating Malia, I'm ready to create my next custom cocoa cutie... a.k.a. custom brown Blythe or Basaak. I already have the idea for at least 3 or 4 girls that I would love to make. I think I'll get a couple of Basaaks (Blythe clones like my Malia) and a couple of regular Blythe to make more custom brown Blythes. I do have a Neo Blythe Friendly Freckles that could use some love and attention. Only problem is I will need to purchase a new eye mech or figure out how to get the current eye chips out because they are hideous PLUS Malia currently has hers. n.n

I also want to attempt my first re-root but I'll start on a smaller head though so I can get the hang of it. I have 17... No 18 LPS Blythe that I could practice re-rooting. I've already dyed a couple of my LPS Blythe hairs but I'd really like to try re-rooting. I've heard it's tedious but it may be a stress reliever of sorts from my 5 children. LOL Speaking of LPS Blythe, since I want to re-root one I might as well give her tan too. n.n

I also have a Monster High Draculaura that I plan to customize as well. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do just yet BUT I think instead of doing a re-root, I may do wig or flock. Still trying to decide on that.

Just some food for thought.

Thanks to gaining courage from doing my face up on Autumn (LTF Ante). I've decided to try my hand at customizing my first Blythe... Well not my first Blythe that I've owned or even a real Blythe but a Basaak (Blythe clone) that I got off a doll forum for a whooping $30! I purchased her with the intent of learning how to customize Blythe dolls sometime ago but was too afraid to mess things up. Well that fear is now gone and I'm ready to go. n.n

My plan is not just to re-do her makeup but attempt to make myself a cocoa cutie... Yes, I'm going to try to make my very own custom black Blythe! I'm waiting for the spray as I type. Hopefully it'll be here by the end of this week so I can get started.

Can't wait... So excited!!

Tempest asked me to make her a new outfit for the changing weather, so I made her an off the shoulder sweater dress.

I plan to list this dress as well a couple more in the shop this coming weekend. These sweater dresses will fit slim msd like Minifee, Unoa and other similarly sized dolls.

1) Eyebrows are a beast.
2) Erasers are your friend.
3) Build pastels SLOWLY.

Friday Dolly Musings

Guess who's downsizing their dolly collection? Okay I'm not really downsizing, it's more like I made room for dolls I prefer.

Remember I recently received two Lati dolls (Lati White Sp Kong & Lati Yellow Christmas Elf Coco)? Well I found I'm just not smitten with them as I thought I would be. I love most Lati Yellow doll sculpts like I LOVE the pouty expressions of Lea and Miel. I should have just waited and gotten THEM instead of two other Latis just because they were available. I thought I would like Kong & Coco but I was WRONG! LOL So, they have since been adopted.

I am finding that I really can't bond with a doll if I don't like their sculpt. Yes I sold my Latis but that doesn't mean that I won't get any more. I do plan to get both Latis... Lea and Miel. I would love to hometan them. :-) I've seen them hometanned and they look AMAZING.

I also found out I like Fairyland dolls better. I currently own PukiPuki Cupid (Penelope), PukiFee Luna (Noelle), LittleFee Rachel (Piper) AND have a MiniFee Rheia (Tempest... I think.. LOL), PukiFee Pong Pong (Rainbow) and LTF Ante face plate (she'll share Piper's body until I can get her own) on the way PLUS MiniFee ShuShu on layaway. Ideally my collection would be complete for now but I wouldn't mind getting a MiniFee Chloe, LittleFee Luna, PukiFee Bonnie and PukiFee Ante though. ::Hint! Hint! Hubby perfect Christmas (12/25) & 10 year wedding anniversary (12/28) presents!!::

A girl can dream right! :-)

More Dolly Time Coming Soon!!

So I have neglected my girls for quite a few weeks and I feel TERRIBLE about it. But that's all about to change. Sort of... I have a couple of new girls arriving soon... Does a LittleFee Girl body count as a new dolly? Of course it does. LOL My LittleFee Rachel will soon have her body, hopefully it'll be here by Monday or Tuesday.

ALSO, remember how I wasn't able to get Middie Blythe Melo Melo Mew? Well as luck would have it, I happened upon a custom kitty Middie Melo Melo Mew. She should be here hopefully by the beginning of November as she's traveling from Norway.

AND I also have a MiniFee Rheia who should also be here by the beginning of November as well. Yes, she's also traveling from Sweden.

It appears that I love adopting new dollies internationally. LOL These new girls will need names, off to think...

Sorry No Dolly Posts

I've been a little MIA this past week and probably for the next 2 weeks due to working on a project that I started back in March of 2009. I will reveal all on 10/05/2012. Why two weeks from now? Well I'm hoping to meet that goal and be able to show the fruition of my efforts. Keeping my fingers crossed that my 15 month old cooperates with me.

One of my latest arrivals is this beautiful girl, Echo (f.k.a. ResinSoul Rong). She has the prettiest face-up by the previous owner. I'm really happy to be the new person for such a gorgeous girl. I see now the shirt I made for my daughter's, Misty (f.k.a. Bobobie Ariel) will not fit the way that I would like it too. The BBB mature body is more solid than the ResinSoul slender physique of the ResinSoul Double Jointed body. I LOVE Echo's physique! Welcome Echo to your new family!
